Whiskey Chaser Results

Huge shout out to everyone that showed up to play bikes Saturday! We had an great turn out for our first ever Whiskey Chaser- 6 Hour Lap Chase, with over 50 riders of all ages!

Another big thanks to 7 Devil’s Brewing Company for being huge supporters of everything we do at WRCMBA. They came out sold beer to our thirsty riders and spectators all day, with all sales (over $400!) going directly to our mountain bike club for maintenance efforts out at Whiskey Run. We look forward to a fun filled summer with Carmen and the 7 Devil’s Crew!

Lastly, we want to give thanks to Coos County Commissioner John Sweet for coming out with his big ole grill and grilling up tasty hot dogs for our hungry participants. Chips and potato salad were served as well. Thanks to the commissioners for helping make Whiskey Run Trail System a true destination on the Southern Oregon Coast.

Whiskey Run Work Party

Monday, April 29th @ 5:30pm

Whiskey Run Main Parking Lot

Our Monthly North Region Meeting will be held at the Whiskey Run Trails main parking lot. We will conduct a short update meeting, and then work on connecting a section of trail from the Rake N Ride loop to the Hollerback descent for the Whiskey Chaser Event. Meet at the main/upper Whiskey Run Parking lot and the tool trailer for WRCMBA will be there. Please report any trails in need of raking/cleaning on the race route and we can hopefully clear those as well.

Please bring sturdy work boots, hard rakes, shovels, and gloves. Loppers will be provided.

Please let us know of any updates/suggestions for trail work needed to get the race loop in tip-top shape.

Some folks are planning on a ride post work party of Copperhead Road/Gnome Wrecker/Boot Scoot ‘n Boogie to start at around 7:00 pm if anybody wants to join. Bring your lights and beverage of choice!

See you Monday the 29th at 5:30pm! The weather looks awesome for the next 7 days with only light rain predicted days 8-10, get out there and ride!
