NICA Leader’s Summit

Interested in becoming a coach for our local NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) team- South Coast Composite?
Here is a great opportunity to learn more about the Oregon League, and get your On-The-Bike Skills 101 training required to be a Head Coach or leader.

Leaders’ Summit: April 25-26, 2020

Save the date! The Leaders’ Summit will be in Salem this year on April 25-26.

What is the Leaders’ Summit? It’s a weekend filled with info about developing skills and knowledge, sharing strategies, and building community. This conference is for new and returning coaches, and will promote a holistic approach to coaching that creates an environment in which young people can grow and thrive. Tickets will go on sale January 27.

Trail Maintenance Volunteer Day

Mark your calendars for our monthly mountain bike trails maintenance work party.
Saturday, January 25th 10:00am-2:00pm
Wild Rivers Coast MTB Association will have the tool trailer on site with tools and hard hats. Look for the tool trailer at the Main Parking lot of Whiskey Run Road.
All volunteers must sign in.
We will be working on clearing drainages (bring flat shovels if you have ’em) and cleaning limbs.
If you like riding or hiking the trails, please try to attend.
Rain or shine.

‘Tis The Season

Join us for our Annual Holiday Mountain Bike Shuttle and Party in Agness!

December 14th, 2019

  • 10am – Club ride on the Pine Grove Trail w/ shuttle
  • 4pm – Christmas Party at Agness RV Park Event Center.

Party Info: following our club ride and shuttles we will be at the Agness RV Park event center ready to party at about 4pm. EVERYONE WELCOME! Potluck style meal (please bring some to share), BYOB, bring some games, and come have a good time in the event center and around the campfire. If you want to party with us but don’t want to drive home from Agness at night, then stay the night! **You can rent a cabin (really nice) at the Agness RV Park, a room at Cougar lane, or reserve a Van/RV/Camp spot. (links below)

Ride Info: Meet at Agness RV Park at 10am to load the shuttle rigs to Pine Grove. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the top of the Pine Grove Trail. It’s a little over 6 mile downhill trail with 3,134 feet of descending. The ride ends at the confluence of Illinois and Rogue Rivers. We will plan on running two shuttles for those that are back in time.

Other Options: There are other rides in the area: Illinois River Trail at Oak Flats and the Lower Rogue River Trail. Feel free to explore these on your own if you want more diversity in the weekend.


Please RSVP if you plan on riding so we can accommodate everyone for the shuttle.
