Whiskey Ride-UPDATE

NEW UPDATED DATE DUE TO RAIN
In lieu of the annual Whiskey Chaser Event, please feel free to join our club for a meet up (keeping social distancing of course) at the Whiskey Run Trail System, main parking lot, Saturday, June 13th.
Please BYO bikes, whiskey, food, and family.
This will be a casual meet up, family groups can go out and ride with an informal gathering at the Trailhead throughout the day.
We will be sending off our valued board member and Coastie-with-the-Mostie: Melanie Collier. It’s also trailbuilder Eddie Kessler’s 35th birthday. So lots to party for… hats welcome.

Stop by anytime between 10 and 2.
Call or text Erin (772-633-7385) with any questions.

Please be respectful of social distancing and do not share your food, drinks, or bikes with friends.

*If you are sick or your someone close to you is sick, please do not come. If you feel you’re vulnerable or do not wish to be around others, this is not the event for you.

Whiskey Chaser Update

Due to the uncertain future of public gatherings in the coming months, the board has regrettably voted to postpone our big fundraiser May 30th at Whiskey Run, The Whiskey Chaser. A future date (maybe fall) will be announced later this summer.

Keeping everyone in our community safe and healthy is our number one priority. We want everyone to live to ride another day, so our big party on wheels will have to wait.

If you have registered for the Chaser, all monies will be returned to you including processing fees. Since this was one of our big annual fundraisers to help keep the club afloat and cover operating costs, we are asking those who are able to donate $20 (entry fee cost) or whatever is appropriate to WRCMBA- you can mail Checks made out to WRCMBA to PO Box 189 Gold Beach, OR 97444. You can also donate Trail Karma via Trail Forks App or webpage for Whiskey Run. Our volunteers work hard to build and maintain the trail systems in our area, promote and support the local NICA team, and engage community members in group rides, events, and fun. Thank you for your continued support!

Keep enjoying the ride.

COVID-19 Update

Hello friends and riders! We hope you are all staying safe with your families at this crazy time in our lives. We wanted to update you all on the Club’s plans for upcoming events, work days, and more.

Our group Dig Day at Whiskey Run scheduled for April 19th is CANCELED due to CDC recommendations of limiting contact and keeping our numbers low.

Our group Volunteer day at Buffington Park will be Postponed to a future date. All city parks, playgrounds, and skateparks are closed due to government mandate.

Whiskey Chaser, May 30th- we will “wait and see” how the pandemic situation develops in the upcoming weeks and will make a decision on this event by the 1st week of May.

Looking for something else to do? We are offering solo-dig opportunities on a list of trails that need some love. So bring your flat shovel, hard rake, and kids out to one of the trails/opportunities listed and get your outdoor volunteering on, while also maintaining social distancing. Be sure to record your hours on Trail Forks or email info@wrcmba.com to let us know your hours worked and how many of your family members joined you.

Otherwise, get out and ride your bikes, 6′ away from everyone else! 🙂
