Registration is currently closed for our 2020 Season.

WRCMBA, local riders, and parents are excited to for the return of our NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) League Team for the South Coast including Coos and Curry County.

South Coast Composite

South Coast Composite is a Composite Team. Which means our SCC Team is comprised of full-time students from more than one middle or high school within the same district or other geographic proximity. Home school students are welcome as well, as long as they are enrolled full-time. Please visit the Oregon League website to learn more and read the Rule Book.

PRACTICES

Practices will be started for the first month at a school field in the Coos Bay area and move to the Trails. For 2020, there will be no races held due to the current COVID-19 safety protocols. Typically, races would be held two times a month in September and October and are more of a weekend event with camping, socializing, music, and fun! We hope to provide some Team Only Races and events this fall so our NICA Student-Athletes can put their skills to the test!

NO BIKE? NO SKILLS? NO PROBLEM!

Scholarships are available for both athletes and coaches! Learn more about scholarships here! WRCMBA also has a few (limited size) mountain bikes for student athletes to use during the season. Please email us to learn more. Coach Erin will be driving her Pineapple Express van from Port Orford to the practices and trail rides, so if you need a ride, don’t hesitate to ask about transportation options. We want to make this sporting option as available to as many students as possible who are interested in riding mountain bikes!
